Cacao Circle for Mums-to-be & New Mums
Celebrating the Transition to Motherhood
15th June, 3pm - 6pm, Putney
I am offering cacao circles for mums-to-be and new mums where you can come to feel nourished, supported and empowered. Each circle includes guided meditation and creative practices (ie painting, singing, dancing) that enable each woman connect with her inner self and explore whatever is going on in her life at the moment. In a supportive circle of women, you have the opportunity to share your experience being a mum and celebrate yourself for all that you are and all that you do!
Giving thanks to your feminine body, your self and all your relations in the Circle of Life.
I am also offering drinks of cacao to connect with the vibrational medicine of this plant. The main active ingredient in cacao is theobromine that can be translated as 'food for the gods' symbolising the special status of cacao that has been used for centuries in South America. On a vibrational level, cacao softens the Heart Chakra bringing warm gentle feelings of bliss. Because of its physical properties, cacao is also used by Traditional Midwives during pregnancy as a natural remedy for blood pressure as well as to assist with labour.
The next circle on 15th June is dedicated to honour the sacred role of Motherhood, as the Source and Nurturer of Life. The circle is held indoors in the Arch Under the Bridge at St Mary's Church in Putney. After we finish, I would like to invite anyone who wishes to stay a little longer for a short walk across the bridge to visit the rose gardens and offer up our prayers and blessings for all our relations in the Circle of Life. I am also very happy to share that a Birth and Postnatal Doula will also be in attendance to share more about the traditional uses of cacao.
For those who wish to attend, please email me at to pre-book your place. The contribution for this circle is 25 pounds. I would also like to ask that you bring some flowers for the ceremony and a yoga mattress to lie down with a soft blanket to remain warm.
If you would like to join the regular cacao circles for mums-to-be and new mums, please email me at to be added on the list.
